About the Role

The Security Practice Director is the leader of the Security Practice and will hold financial responsibility for the overall success of the Practice. The role is responsible for driving profitable growth through developing solution offerings, leading client-facing strategy and design consultations, and assisting the sales team with driving opportunities to closure.

The Security Practice Director will be responsible for proactively creating and implementing strategies and tactics for growing the Practice. They will be accountable for identifying, evaluating, and assisting in the recruitment of the members of the Security Practice as well as developing the business cases for continued investments. The individual will team with leaders from across the organization to develop, market, sell, and deliver comprehensive security solutions. This role will also be the leader accountable for internal security posture and policies.

Outcomes and desired results
  • Develop and implement the offering and technical strategy for the Evolving Solutions Security Practice, in collaboration with other team leaders.
  • Proactively create and implement strategies and tactics to ensure consistent progress for the Security Practice.
  • Team with leaders from across the organization to develop, market, sell and deliver a comprehensive array of security solutions.
  • Select, develop, and lead key relationships with our strategic vendor partners across the security practice.
  • Lead the effort in identifying the time, need, role and candidate pool for additional security team members, in conjunction with the extended team.
  • Build and retain robust product knowledge of the Evolving Solutions Security Practice core offerings and vendor partners’ products.
  • Articulate the Evolving Solutions Security Practice offerings in front of internal team members, prospects, clients, and vendor partners.
  • Enable clients to realize the most value from their legacy security investments, while simultaneously working to provide them a comprehensive next-generation security strategy.
  • Serve as the executive face of the Evolving Solutions security practice, both within Evolving Solutions and across the spectrum of existing and prospective Evolving Solutions clients.
  • Lead the creation of an internal educational program to ensure continuous talent development for all levels of security practice team members.
  • Lead the vendor selection process for the security practice and work closely with the CTO to ensure the new vendors align with the overall Evolving Solutions vendor strategy.
  • Identify the required security certifications that Evolving Solutions should hold and identify the appropriate personnel to hold the certifications.
  • Identify the internal technology and tools required for a modern security practice to be successful.
  • Build relationships with client security teams and communicate our ability to add value and help them mitigate risk within their business through improved security measures.
  • Stay abreast of security industry governance and the changing laws and regulations and ensure that our security team members are well versed with those changes.


  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information Systems, information Technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and have experience as a transformational CISO.
  • Experience building a successful Security Practice while building a team and acquiring new clients.
  • Experience in pre-sales engineering and/or sales with a VAR, Systems Integrator, OEM, or similar environment.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP and relevant security technology solutions and/or industry certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in the selling and delivery of complex enterprise security projects.
